Who we are

This website is operated by Sam Wills, a partner at Wired Masters, London. Work booked through this site is carried out and invoiced by Wired Masters, so your project details are shared with the studio. Contact: sam@wiredmasters.co.uk

What data we collect

When you use the contact form or email directly, we collect your name, email address, and any information you include in your message. This is used solely to respond to your enquiry and manage your mastering or mixing project.

If you ask for the stem prep checklist, we store the email address you give us so we can send it and occasional related emails. If you use the chat assistant, what you type is sent to the AI provider that answers it.

Analytics

Analytics only runs if you say yes. Nothing analytics-related loads until you accept it in the banner, and if you reject it — or if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal — no analytics script is loaded, no identifier is stored, and no page view is recorded.

If you do accept, two things run. Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager, which store an identifier on your device for up to two years and report which pages you visited, roughly where you are, and whether you went on to make an enquiry. And our own page counter, which stores a session identifier that lasts until you close the tab, and records the page address, the site you arrived from, your browser's user agent string, and the country and city our host derives from your IP address. We do not store your IP address itself.

Accepting analytics also stores one short summary of how you first arrived, kept in this browser tab only. It holds a broad category (search, social, AI assistant, a link from another site, or direct), the service or domain you came from, and the path of the first page you landed on. It does not record where you went next, and it never keeps the query string from the address, because that can contain things you typed. If you then send an enquiry, that one line is submitted with it — along with anything you choose to write in “How did you hear about me?” — so we can tell which page brought you here. It goes to Formspree with the rest of the form and appears in the email we receive.

If you have not accepted analytics, none of that is stored and none of it is sent: the enquiry arrives with no summary attached at all. The “How did you hear about me?” box still works either way, because you filled it in yourself, and it is always optional. The copy in your browser disappears when you close the tab; a copy submitted with an enquiry is kept with that correspondence, under the retention terms below.

Your analytics choice

You can change or withdraw this at any time, right here — it takes one click and it is as easy to switch off as it was to switch on.

Cookies

The only thing stored on your device before you choose is your choice itself, which is kept in this browser so we do not ask again. Analytics cookies and identifiers are set only after you accept, and are cleared when you withdraw. No advertising cookies are set by this site, and we do not use it to retarget you with adverts.

Who receives your data

These are the third parties involved in running this site:

• Formspree — processes contact form submissions and forwards them to us by email. Formspree is based in the United States, so your name, email address and message are transferred there.
• Google — Analytics 4 and Tag Manager, only if you accept analytics.
• Vercel — hosting, plus Vercel's own cookieless traffic and performance measurement, which does not store anything on your device.
• Neon — the database holding the page counter rows and the checklist email list.
• MiniMax — answers the chat assistant. What you type there is sent to them to generate a reply.
• Discord — where we receive automated notifications about the site. Today these cover the site's own background jobs and release credits rather than anything you send us.
• Cloudinary for images and Spotify embeds for music credits. Both see your IP address because your browser loads content from them directly.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by emailing sam@wiredmasters.co.uk. You can also object to analytics without emailing anyone, using the control above.

Data retention

We are not going to quote you a retention period we do not enforce. There is no automatic deletion schedule running on project files, correspondence, the email list or the analytics table today — they are kept while they are useful for the work and for record-keeping. If you want your data removed, ask and we will remove it.
